Feeling old

Just reading a blog that shall remain nameless, and came upon the following exchange:

Those rotary phones look quite fun. I still don’t get how to use them though.

put ur finger in the number then scroll it all the way to the (counter clockwise i think) end. Do that for every number… I never see it as that big of a deal, but if u mess up once u gotta hang up and do em all again.

Can you imagine growing up in a world almost completely devoid of rotary telephones?  Heck, I can remember the first punch button telephone we owned, that was cutting edge technology.  When I hung up my punch button ‘phone I would go play Yars Revenge on the Atari, or Snake Byte on the Apple II+…

Yeah, those were the days.
